Ok, first thing is first… these are ultra shimmery. If you’re not a shimmer queen, feel free to just pass these by. I, however, am like a bird. All things shiny, shimmery, and glittery catch my eye, and I have a hard time saying to no them… I want them in my life. Thank goodness these are only $4 each. ;)
Here is what Wet n Wild has to say:
Create a luminous glow with a subtle iridescence on any complexion. Swirl the pearlescent hues together or use each individually to highlight face, neck, chest, and body.”
I totally agree with their description of this product. It simply does what it claims to do. Easy as that… thank you, Wet n Wild, for not making ridiculous claims about this product. ;)
This one, Catwalk pink, is a beautiful rose-gold toned blush when all of the colors are swirled together. You could easily concentrate your blush brush on the lighter shades and use this as a highlight on your cheekbones, or any other areas on your face. If you have a deeper skin tone, this wouldn’t really act as a blush, but I would totally recommend it as a beautiful highlight.
This next one, Starlight Bronze, is a beautiful, super pigmented, shimmery bronze powder. I would not at all recommend this for contouring, as it would look very unnatural. This is great as a highlighter, if you have a deep skin tone, or as a bronzer to warm up your complexion. Just use a nice, large, fluffy brush to lightly sweep this across your face, wherever the sun naturally hits it.
I also like to use this on my neck and chest area to add a nice glow. This is especially beautiful to wear in the warmer months of summer.
In the photos below, you can see both products applied to my face. I did use a matte bronzer to contour my cheeks, but like I mentioned before, I did dust this shimmery one on to warm up my complexion. When you use these products, I’d suggest you skip a separate highlighter. These will definitely give you enough of a luminosity on their own. Then again, if you are a shimmer queen, go for it… who’s stopping you? :)
Overall, I would totally recommend these two products! They are amazing quality for the price and really are beautiful. They do not have the most amazing staying power, so you may feel the need to touch up during the day, if you wish. I don’t usually bother, unless I have something going on that evening.
Have you tried these? What do you think? Are you a shimmer queen??
Thanks for reading, friends!
