The Balm Blushes: Down Boy & Frat Boy
I own two blushes from The Balm, and I’ll tell you right off the bat that they’re awesome! They are pigmented, easy to blend, and beautiful. If you are patient, and can wait until they are on sale on Hautelook.com, then you can get them for a great price. If you just cannot be bothered to wait, you can definitely order them from thebalm.com.
Photos are taken in natural sunlight… oh, and don’t you just love my yellow beach chair as the background? : )
Adorable packaging, cute names, and great product inside… what more could you want? ; )
The first one I have is called Frat Boy. This is a peachy pink shade that shows a bit of shimmer in the pan… on the face, the shimmer is not at all noticeable.
Down Boy is the second blush that I own. This is a cool toned medium pink shade. It also has the shimmer in the pan, but the shimmer doesn’t transfer onto the face.. it just looks like creamy color.
Well, what more is there to say about blush? The colors are great and they wear well, depending on your foundation/what you’re wearing underneath.
To be honest, I am not sure I would pay the full price for these ($21). There are so many fantastic blushes out there that are just as nice and cost less. I would definitely pick up the others at the sale price though (around $12.50)!
There are two more shades that I don’t own called Cabana Boy (a rose shade) and Hot Mama (peach with gold shimmer)… I would like both, but I have heard amazing things about how gorgeous Hot Mama is, so I will be keeping my eyes open for that one.
Have you tried any of The Balm blushes? Which blushes are must-haves for you?
