Tarte Cheek Stain Review: Flushed

This cheek stain is a beautiful pigmented color, it blends well, and lasts a long time on the skin. It can be worn alone, or layered under a coordinating powder blusher for even longer staying powder. It does have a very strange smell… almost citrus, but not in a good way (at least that is just my opinion… fragrance is so very personal).

Normally, I will wear a cheek stain or any cream blusher on my lips as well. I wouldn’t recommend you do so with this product, because it has a terrible flavor. If you don’t care about how it tastes, then go for it… it’s a beautiful color.

You really do not need very much product to get enough color on your cheeks, so this will last quite a while, which means it is a great value.

Tarte has an amazonian clay powder blusher in the same shade, Flushed, as well. Here are the two, side by side, so you can compare how they look.

If you really needed a super long-wearing blusher, you could pair these two together. Ha, it will probably last multiple days!!

my rating- 4 stars

Overall, I would totally recommend this product. I’m definitely curious to check out some of the other shades. Since this is a stain and not a cream, I think anyone, no matter your skin type, could wear this.

How do you feel about cheek stains? Do you have a favorite??

  1. I am so afraid of cheek stains, haha! Anything with “stain” in the name sounds ominous to me. :) I love blush though, so one of these days I will have to get over the term and try one!

    • Thanks for your comment, Claire! Please have no fear, cheek stains are fabulous! ;) Just make sure that you apply it with a good brush, start with a small amount, and blend well! I have faith in you. :)
