NYX Wonder Pencil Review
Ok, so here’s the scoop… there aren’t very many photos in this post because, unfortunately, I have misplaced the battery charger for my camera. My camera is dead. It’s such a sad story, I know. So, for the time being, I am still going to post. I pinky promise to add more photos later when my battery charger is found. :)
This is definitely a convenient product that can be used for multiple purposes. I love multi-use products (check out my post on some of my favorites: here!) for travel, or even for those days when I’m in more of a hurry.
I do like this pencil… but do I consider it a necessity?
Here are the details:
- may be purchased at ulta, drugstores, or on cherryculture.com
- available in 3 shades: light, medium, & deep
- $4.50 (on the NYX website) for .04 oz
Here is what NYX claims,
Wonder Woman, meet the Wonder Pencil…the essential pencil that fulfills all of your beauty desires. Conquer 3 critical make-up tasks with one product: CONCEAL flaws and blemishes with creamy precision; LINE your lips against lipstick bleeding and fading; and BRIGHTEN your eyes along the water line.
I have the shade in “light”, and, it actually is a bit light for me. This rarely happens to me since my skin is pale. ;) It’s a bummer that there are only 3 shades available, especially since they do claim that this may be used as a concealer on the face.
I like to use this pencil to:
- outline my lips when I am wearing a dark or bold lip color
- highlight under my brow, along the brow bone
- line my water line (the inner rim of lower lashline)
- conceal on my face (not under the eyes)
I do enjoy this product! It has a matte finish, and a nice creamy texture, which makes it easy to blend. The two downsides are: 1. this product isn’t exceptionally long-lasting, so touch-ups may be required throughout the day, and 2. this pencil is only available in 3 shades, as I mentioned before.
With these qualities in mind, I would recommend this to anyone searching for a product to do any of the tasks I listed above. If you have a concealer that you love, and don’t care to line your waterline or outline your lips, then I suggest you skip this one. :)
What do you think? Have you tried this product?? Are you interested in checking it out?
