Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Mask Review:
This is my first time using a sheet mask… and I’ll tell you, there are pros and cons to using these, depending upon your quirks! I like that sheet masks are super quick to apply and are a lot less messy. I did, however, feel a bit claustrophobic when I had it on. Crazy, huh? I definitely didn’t see that coming… and really, it wasn’t terrible, just something small that I noticed.
So, I’m just going to cut to the chase and tell you outright that I LOVED this mask! I want more! When applied, it made my skin feel very fresh and spa-like. It did have a cooling feeling, which is wonderful on a hot summer day, or after a long, tiring day. There is quite a strong scent to this product, but I didn’t find it offensive, and I tend to be pretty sensitive to scents.
Here’s some info-
- there are 3 clay masks available by this brand: Dead Sea Mud, Glacial Clay, and Red Earth Clay
- the price is a couple dollars for one mask… I think mine was $2 or less
- available at Walmart, Ulta, K-Mart, and Kroger stores
- check the website for more info about their products: Montagne Jeunesse
Here’s what they say about this mask,
Breathe life back into skin with intensely invigorating and revitalising Dead Sea Minerals. We’ve harvested the oceans nutrient rich Seaweed and Kelp right from the source – A satisfying boost for thirsty skin and then some!
After removing this mask, my skin felt very soft and smooth in texture. I felt that it “tightened” my face a bit… you know, in a good way. My skin didn’t feel tight, dry, or irritated in any way. I think this product would work with just about any skin type, maybe except for ultra-sensitive skin.
Ok, so obviously this is not the most flattering photo. I definitely don’t look like the girl on the packaging… I look more like an ax murderer…. BUT, I’m going to be brave, because I want you to see what the mask looks like!
I think one of the keys with clay masks is to remove them before they dry. I find if I let the clay dry, I struggle to remove it, and I have to rub and really work to get it off. That leaves my face red and irritated. Kind of ruins the whole “mask- spa” experience, no? So, just leave it on for what the time says, or just before it starts to dry. You’ll have no problem removing it, and your skin will thank you. :)
Yes, I do recommend this mask, yes, I love it. I will be repurchasing this as soon as I have the chance!
What is your favorite face mask?? Please share! I love trying new products… obviously. ;)
