Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Gel Shadow: If you are not aware of how amazing these inexpensive, beautiful cream eye shadows are then you should definitely check them out!
I own ten of the many colors that this line has to offer… and I enjoy them all. They work wonderful as a wash of color on the lids (doesn’t crease), an eye shadow base to intensify powder shadows, and as a cream eyeliner.
There are 9 shades available in the regular line, and 5 shades in the Metal collection. They also release limited edition shades throughout the year. (I don’t own any of those…. yet ;)
Here is what Maybelline says about their product:
“Dare to wear 24HR shadow.
• Ink technology creates 24HR wear shadow for our most intense, long-lasting color saturation
• Cream formula glides on without creasing and keeps color vibrant
• Ophthalmologist-tested. Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers”
Want to know something amazing? I totally agree with what they claim! When does that ever happen? Not often, my friend.
These can be purchased at drugstores, Target, Ulta, Walmart, etc. On drugstore.com, they are sold for $6.99 (0.14 oz/3.98 g)
These are great if you want some quick color, are pigmented, and really set in place after you blend them. Yep, I am a fan.
Pomegranate Punk is pretty deep, cranberry wine shade. I think it would be great for a beautiful fall smokey eye or used as a liner. Green eyes would POP! : )
Inked in Pink is part of the metallic line. It’s a pretty cool-toned, subtle pink that is super wearable. I tend to reach for this one fairly often.
Fierce and Tangy is a super fun, creamy orange shade. It has a very slight bit of shimmer, but appears mostly matte on the lids. I love this color for the summer! It’s actually more wearable than you’d think…
Bold Gold is a sparkly, shimmery, cool gold shade. This one is great for layering and is fun for a metallic look. You will definitely see the sparkle on your lids with this one.
Bad to the Bronze is probably the most popular shade… it’s more of a shimmery taupe color, so it’s super wearable. It goes well with any look. (It also looks amazing applied under Stila’s Kitten eye shadow!!) If you are considering buying just one, this is probably what you should go for.
Unfortunately, I somehow missed a close up of this one.
Tough as Taupe is an awesome, creamy matte taupe shade. It’s cooler, more grey toned, and goes well with everything! There are very few matte shades in this collection, and this is a sweet neutral one that is worth owning.
Too Cool is a shimmering white. It is the sheerest shade and doesn’t go on quite as smoothly as the others… but I still really like this shade. It’s beautiful on the lids as a way to really brighten the eyes, and also makes a really nice highlight. I think I tend to use this one the most.
Silver Strike is a crazy pretty bright metallic silver. This will be gorgeous in the fall with a deep berry lip! Loving it. This would make a beautiful brightening look on the lids, or you could use it to create a smokey eye.
Audacious Asphalt is a deeper, charcoal silver shade that has lighter silver glitters in it. This makes for a pretty smokey eye, or a more subtle eye liner.
Electric Blue… loving this shade so much! It looks beautiful with Silver Strike, and I really like it as an eye liner. Oh, it’s just so pretty.
Obviously, I am a fan of these… and I would totally consider picking up more shades. If you’re interested… go for it! These are definitely worth the money.
