Wanna know what Garnier says about their product? Oh, good, ‘cuz I’m about to tell you!
Garnier introduces its first BB Cream, Miracle Skin Perfector. Multi-benefit skincare that combines intense hydration with tinted minerals and vitamin C.
A combination of Hyaluronic Acid, Lipidure Microspheres + Glycerin retains water in the skin, allowing it to maintain superior moisture levels and improve softness and suppleness of skin for 24hours. Vitamin C provides antioxidant properties, boosts radiance and luminosity of skin.Mineral Pigments delicately and immediately beautiful skin. The rich pigments instantly melt and spread flawlessly over skin.”
I have the light/medium, and, unfortunately, it is a bit too dark for me. I can use this all summer, and a little into the fall, but after that, the color doesn’t match anymore. Just something to consider if you have an extra light or deep skin tone.
I found that they best way to apply this product is with my fingers. I’m generally not a fan of using my fingers, and I would rather use a brush to apply (it’s just less messy that way), but the finish of this BB cream looks best when I use my fingers.
I also found that one layer looks better than two. While it is somewhat build-able, it tends to feel very heavy and tacky when two layers are applied. If you don’t mind that feeling, then by all means- layer to your heart’s content. I hate it when I touch my face and it doesn’t feel like skin. I don’t like the feeling of thick makeup on my face… ick! So, yes, all that to say, I just stick with one layer. ;)
I would not recommend this product to anyone that does not have dry skin! It definitely leaves you with a luminous look on your face, and can tend to look greasy if your skin produces it’s own “luminous look” already. ;) If you have normal skin, I think you could still check this out… and perhaps you should set it with a powder. The powder will prolong the wearing power, the coverage, and provide a more matte finish as well.
Overall, I do really like this product. It’s perfect for a casual day or just a day when you’re wanting a very light, natural looking face. I am very interested to check out the oily skin version. Although I like this one, many people don’t… but I have heard many positive reviews on the new oily formula. My curiosity has been peaked now. ;) Don’t worry, if I try it out, I’ll be sure to share my thoughts!
