Fall Eye Shadow: Budget Picks
Here are some of my eye shadow picks for fall that are super budget friendly! These are products that I love, recommend, and am pulling out to use this fall and winter!
1. Maybelline “Chai Latte” Quad
This is beautiful warm palette that has shades that can give you a natural eye look, as well as a dramatic smokey look. It has two matte shades, one of them is a taupe brown and the other is a deep chocolate brown. It also has a metallic bronze shade, as well as a satin, light highlight shade. As you can see, this palette has been well-loved. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out of it! It’s a great staple to own and it costs under $5.
2. Maybelline “Sunkissed Olive” Duo
This little duo contains an olive green that is just perfect for this season. I love olive greens, and this shade is stunning. It has a satin/shimmery finish with a hint of gold shimmer. Love. The other shade is a basic champagne… nothing to write home about.
“Silver Streak”: Perfect metallic shade for the metallic eye trend for this season. It’s very eye-catching and creamy.
“Tough as Taupe”: This is a great, creamy, matte classic cool-toned taupe shade that really is grand for any time of the year. I think this one would pair beautifully with a bold lip color.
“Bold Gold”: I think that warm, golden tones are gorgeous in the fall. You could use this in a smokey eye look, or apply a light wash of it over your lids and pair it with a bold lip color. (Yes, I’m obsessed with bold lips at the moment…)
“Electric Blue”: This is a fabulous jewel toned cream shade that screams fall. This can be used to create a gorgeous sapphire smokey eye, or can be used as a liner for a pop of color (which is totally trending right now ;).
“Pomegranate Punk”: This is another shade that is quintessentially fall. Cranberry everything is always on trend for fall. I’m loving this shade combined with gold, olive or emerald green, chocolate brown, and silver. It creates a beautiful warm look on the eyes, and could probably also be used as a liner if you’re hesitant to smother it all over your lids.
“Audacious Asphalt”: A great charcoal gray shade with flecks of silver glitter. This makes a fantastic base for a smokey eye… and of course, could also be used as a liner shade! It would be great as a more subtle (softer than black) liner paired with (can you guess?!) a bold lip!
4. Maybelline “Charcoal Smokes” Quad
These cool tones shades work well for a classic smokey eye, but can also be used with a light hand for a more natural look. It contains a classic taupe (looks amazing on everyone with every eye color), a purple-toned taupe shade, a metallic light silver, and a sub-par black shade with silver glitter. (I say “sub-par” because it really does lack pigmentation… however, the other shades are fabulous, so this palette is definitely worth a second glance.)
5. Covergirl “Golden Sands” Trio
This is another beautiful warm palette. This one is more subtle than “Chai Latte”. All three shades are shimmery and are absolutely gorgeous when the light hits them. (See in the swatches below!!) This palette is a total must-have in my opinion. It’s inexpensive and basically fool-proof. The shades are easy to blend and look beautiful together. This is one of those palettes that will make every eye color pop (especially blue eyes).
6. Wet n Wild “Knock on Wood”
A Palette with both a cranberry and a chocolate shade. What could be better for fall? These three shades are stunning together. This is my most recent purchase, and I’m totally loving it. (It might be my current favorite out of this listing.) I actually do like to use these colors as suggested… although, I would recommend using a matte cream color as your brow bone highlight rather than the pink. The pink shade is a perfect transition color between your crease shade and your highlight. It’s also beautiful near the inner corner/inner half of your eyelid. Did I mention this trio is $2.99? (Hello!)
7. L’Oreal H.I.P. “Gilded” Metallic Shadow Duo
Gilded is the perfect name for this sweet little duo. These shadows are incredible! That dirty gold shade is super buttery, pigmented, and easy to blend. I love this duo for a dramatic smokey eye or metallic look. The black is beautiful as well, with the golden glitter that actually does show up on the eye. These two shades together create a beautiful party or night out look for this season.
I hope you enjoy my eye shadow picks for this fall! I totally recommend all of these, as they are high quality and inexpensive. (Quite a fantastic combination, wouldn’t you think?)
If you’d like to see any looks/tutorials using any of these palettes, please let me know. I’d love to create some to share with you!
Do you own any of these palettes? What are your picks for this season?
