elf Studio Correcting Concealer Palette Review
I think that concealer palettes are pretty fun. I really like that I can mix the shades to get the perfect match for my skin- any time of the year.
This one comes with two nude shades, a lighter one and a darker one, along with a pink and a green shade.
The nude shades are for any concealing around the face, you know how it goes. ;) The pink color can be used to brighten under the eyes, and the green is cancel out redness (perhaps on acne, around the nose, or any redness on the cheeks). It also comes with a mirror and a brush, both tiny and useless, to be honest.
Check out some product details:
- may be purchased at eyeslipsface.com, target, and select drugstores
- available in 2 shade range options: Neutralize & Conceal (the one I have here) and Erase & Conceal
Here is what e.l.f. says,
Conceals under-eye darkness, blemishes and other skin imperfections with customized coverage. Brightens under-eye circles and neutralizes redness. Convenient size for on-the-go travel.
It has a creamy, greasy consistency… it’s not too bad, but it does take a bit to really warm up the product with your fingers. Because of this, I really do recommend that you apply this with your fingers rather than a brush.
In this photo, I have the brightening shade only under my right (your left) eye so you can compare.
In this next photo, I have both the brightening shade, and a concealing shade over it only on my right (your left) eye for comparison as well.
While I may not have terrible dark circles under my eyes (some days are better than others!), I think you can definitely see that the brighter and concealer combo have definitely brightened and concealed any dark circles that were under my right eye.
While the coverage is decent… here is my problem… it has next to zero lasting power. It only hangs around for a while, and creases terribly! Because of this, as well as what I mentioned earlier, I cannot recommend this product, despite its wonderfully small price tag.
How do you feel about concealer palettes??
