If you are looking for a brightening face primer, and are not on a tight budget, than look no further than the Benefit That Gal Primer!
- $29 for .37 fl oz/11mL (or, I have the delux sample size that I got in a kit. It retails for $8.00 for .25 fl oz/7.5 mL)
- available at benefitcosmetics.com, Ulta, Sephora, etc…
- a brightening face primer to wear alone or under your foundation
Why we love it!
Our silky pink primer takes your complexion from dull to darling! Simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin. Contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & chamomile to soothe skin.”
This is supposed to be a brightening primer… guess what… It actually does brighten my skin! I love this! After you apply it, and blend it over the skin, it leaves you with a beautiful, luminous finish. (As you can see in my swatch photos!)
This product makes my skin feel very soft to the touch, and helps my foundation application smoother.
I love the smell of this primer. I know that is an odd thing to point out… and it isn’t a strong smell or anything, but it is pleasant. I think it’s because of the raspberry and chamomile in it. It smells slightly sweet and fruity.
One thing I should point out about this product is that it doesn’t actually prolong the wear of your foundation. It doesn’t claim to, but I want you to think is, in case you are looking for a primer that will make your foundation last longer.
I would definitely recommend this primer to anyone wanting a brightening primer. I’m not sure how this would work for oily skin… as I have normal skin. I would think this would perform better for someone with normal to dry skin, so that is something to consider.
The only down-side I can think of for this product is that it’s a bit expensive. I definitely would love to purchase this product in the full-size, so perhaps, someday when my budget has a little more wiggle room in it, I will pick this up!
I think I touched on everything in this review, but if you have any questions or suggestions for me, please comment below or shoot me an email!
What are your thoughts on primers? Do you think they are essential, or just an unnecessary step?
