Benefit Boi-ing Concealer Review 2

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer Review

I’m not quite ready to deem this product as “holy grail status”, but it’s definitely one of my favorite concealers that I have tried so far. It’s pigmented, smooth, creamy, and has great coverage for under the eyes, as well as any facial concealing I may need.

This is a deluxe size sample of both the Boi-ing concealer and Lemonade. I’m going to be talking about the concealer only, as I am not a fan of the Lemonade. In fact, I am not very sure of how to use it. I’ve tried it as a primer, and it creases like crazy… it has a pretty thick consistency. Has anyone tried Lemonade? Please share! How do you use it?

The details:

  • may be purchased on Benefit’s website, Sephora, and Ulta
  • $20 for .1 oz/ 3 g of product
  • comes in 5 shades: light, light/medium, medium, medium/deep, and deep (it used to only be available in 3 shades, so it is lovely that they expanded the shade ranges to include our beautiful, deeper toned ladies!)

Here’s what Benefit says,

This award-winning concealer camouflages dark circles, minor imperfections and discoloration without creasing or fading. Even better…the industrial-strength formula is now available in FIVE shades, with a full range from light to deep. Now all gals can be imperfection-free.”

I have this concealer in shade 02, and while it matches my skin tone nicely for the summer… it’s a bit dark for me this time of year. Yes, you might as well call me Snow White. ;)

I like to tap this in with my fingers, because my fingers warm up the product a bit, and really help it to melt and blend into the skin. I have no problems blending this concealer in, as it is wonderfully creamy. It has great coverage, as a concealer should, and I actually do like the finish it gives to my skin. (I think that is my main issue with most concealers… they either look unnatural or cakey on the skin. Just not a great look, in my humble opinion.)

When I applied the concealer to my under eye area, I decided to do a little Frosting&Facials experiment. That’s what I’m here for, right?? ;) Anyways… I set the concealer under one eye with the e.l.f. HD Under Eye Setting Powder, and left the other alone. As I wore this product, I didn’t notice any major creasing… under either eye! I don’t happen to have oily skin, or many wrinkles/fine lines under my eyes, yet, so I didn’t have any problems with creasing. If you have either of those issues, you may experience more creasing… just a heads up!

In the photos below, there is concealer applied under my left (your right) eye, and nothing under my other eye for comparison purposes. As you can see, I don’t have terrible dark circles, but the eye with concealer definitely looks brighter and more perfected.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer Review

my rating- 5 stars

While this concealer is a high end product, and therefore, has a bit of a hefty price tag, I do believe it is worth every penny. I definitely will consider purchasing the full size of this concealer when I run out of this sample. Unless, of course, I find something miraculous between now and then (in which case I will let you know)!

I totally recommend this concealer… perhaps try out a deluxe sample as I did, or stop by Sephora and request a sample!

Have you tried Boi-ing?? What is your fave concealer?

Thank you for stopping by!

I much prefer Erase Paste for under the eyes, esp. for those with dry skin. However, Boi-ing is definitely a great concealer all around for blemishes and under eyes. I love how Boi-ing now comes in both yellow and pink undertones in a pot!

My personal fav. concealer however is MAC Pro Correct/Conceal palette! It ties up with MUFE HD Concealer..lol..

Hi Jilly! Thanks for your response! I have tried the Erase Paste on other people, but I have yet to try it for myself! Of course, I have heard from many people how lovely and effective it is! I suppose one of these days I’ll have to bite the bullet and pay that hefty price tag. ;)
